Jane peered out of the porthole “Thought so, they’re nicking the engines”
“Most useful thing on this tub” mumbled Laurence
“Think we should try and stop them?”
“If they take more than eight maybe nine of them then we’re dead. How many have they got so far”
“I see four missing”
“They wouldn’t kill us all would they? They do know that no-one can rescue us don’t they?”
“Depends if they know about the Freedom.” she mused.
“Never mind I’ll tell you later, look can we really stop them?”
“We’d need spacesuits and weapons”
“We have the weapons”
“But they have more, and they are using all the spacesuits that are on this ship”
“They could have brought their own”
“No I recognise the models, no they are also guarding the airlocks. Our only hope is a full on assault.”
“The two of us?”
“Anyone else we can get to help”
“I think they got pretty much everyone else”
“Then no full frontal assault. What else can we do?”
“Call for help”
“No-one could get here in time.
“Maybe, maybe not. Let’s at least make sure if we do go down people know why.”
“You seriously mean that, why not just surrender?”
“Because I’m not sure that would help our survival”
“And going up against those who’ve already taken over the ship will help?”
